Went to location with family, I was in crutches due to major injury and told by the hostess that it was 15 to 30 min wait. We were allowed to proceed to bar area for a drink. Upon going to bar area it was obvious there were multiple open tables and booths. I spoke to bartender who advised that we were not being seated because of staffing. With a holiday weekend approaching that is not a acceptable excuse. Our waitress was nice however she only took order and collected payment. Not one time did she check on us throughout the meal.
Food was delicious so I would give that a 4, however service was horrible which I would give a 2. -

Heard they had a refreshed menu....stopped in to try. Simply put, it was boring as usual and the service sucked. This place commands one of the best locations for a restaurant in the chain of lakes area yet it's culinary offerings do not match. Cellar 152 has a new menu that is very good. Go there instead.
Was here last weekend.....boring....22 beers on tap...but 12 were not available....menu is pedestrian plain...DON'T order the Margherite Flatbread....it just sucks....bad tomatoes....skimpy low moisture mozzarella cheese....crust tasted frozen.....service without a smile..... -

Do not go here. You will never see a local go here because they know this place is not worth their time or money. Horrible service all year round, even when it's empty in the middle of winter. Everything is overpriced for the small portions you receive, even the adult beverages. For the amount of money you are spending, you should go to either Siren Hall or Pearl's (both a mile away). If you go pass here during the summer, it will be busy on the weekends (during the week it still is only half full) because the tourists do not know any better and it is the only restaurant on the water in Elk Rapids.
My husband says, "The owner is in it for max profits for sub-par meals."
Ironically, a few years ago this place burned to the ground and there was a large investigation regarding insurance fraud because there was huge speculation that the owner did it himself for the money. Interesting .... -

Came here for drinks before dinner at another restaurant & sat on the patio overlooking the water. It was Saturday night & pretty busy (especially the patio). We could see people arriving & leaving via boats. Service seemed a little sparse but our sever was friendly when we saw her. There was live music which made it even more noisy which is to be expected. Kinda had a college frat party feel which may suit some. Didn't order food so can't speak about it. Not my favorite place while visiting this part of Traverse City but okay overall.

I don't understand the 3.5 rating. Our group from Texas and SC was traveling through MI and stoped in despite the rating, not expecting a lot. To our surprise we had a wonderful experience! Our waitress Angie was very knowledgeable about both the food and drink menu and made great recommendations. The pecan encrusted walleye was cooked perfectly and the lobster bisque and smoked seafood board were outstanding. We would absolutely be regular customers if we lived close.
